Organic Phosphate Fertilizer for Beans Crops

Beans

Fertoz is a producer and supplier of high-quality, certified organic bean farming fertilizers. Bean crops are major demand in the organic agriculture market. It is our mission at Fertoz to provide farmers with a reliable supply of all-natural, high-quality phosphate fertilizer. We as a company believe in the numerous benefits of organic farming — reducing fossil fuel use, creating sustainable land management plans, and eliminating concentrated chemicals in food and soil.

Beans, Beans – The Magical Soil Amendment

A glasshouse trial using Lampung Indonesian soil showed the effectiveness of rock phosphate in increasing soil phosphorus, tissue phosphorus and yield in sword beans. Plants that did not receive phosphorus did not produce seed. This demonstrates the importance of phosphorus in bean seed production.

High rate rock phosphate application significantly increased infamously low bean yields experienced in Kenya. Yields rose from 88 kg/ha to 595 kg/ha.

In Indian Rice-Potato-Mung Bean Cropping Systems Rock Phosphate performance was comparable to Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) in terms of productivity and protein yield. Rock phosphate favoured phosphorus balance (application – crop removal).

An Effective Organic Bean Fertilizer

While bean crops are not heavy nutrient feeders, proper fertilization is still necessary for organic agriculture to optimize biological productivity and fertility in your soil. While phosphorus may be present in your soil, not all of it may be available for your bean crops. Fertoz has developed a phosphate fertilizer with a rich level of available phosphorus (the sum of the phosphorus soluble in water plus that which is soluble in a citrate solution), making it an effective bean fertilizer. It is important to note that our testing has shown our phosphate fertilizer is most effective in acidic soil, yet when combined with sulfur and humate, it will also work well in basic soil.

Methods of Fertilization for Bean Farming

For the best soybean production yield, the optimal level of phosphorus in the soil is 15 ppm, which means regular testing should be done from year to year. If your phosphorus levels are low, band applications of soybean fertilizer are more efficient than broadcasting. For dry bean and snap bean farming, broadcasting is effective, but it must be turned into the soil to create an even mix at root level — these types of beans use phosphorus mainly to strengthen roots instead of crop yield.

Improving Organic Fertilizer Supply for Bean Farming

The lack of nutritional analysis of organic bean fertilizers and their poor distribution is what prompted the founder of Fertoz to make a change in the way organic fertilizers are produced, marketed, and sold. We spent a long time locating a source of rock-phosphate that had high levels of available phosphorus while also being logistically close to freight rail and trucking routes to directly supply organic agriculture markets. We have never been a company that uses flashy sales tactics to exaggerate the use of our products. We take comfort in providing facts backed by agronomist research and testing, as well as feedback from the people who use our fertilizer directly.
