Daniel Gleeson is CEO of Fertoz Organics Inc a sustainable land management organization devoted to the restoration of our soils and the surrounding environment. Providing sustainable solutions to support stewards of the land via fertilizer inputs, management practices or reforestation opportunities, Fertoz seeks to create a long-term solution to our global environmental goals.
Daniel brings with him almost 20 years of experience in agriculture having worked in global roles across North America, Europe and Asia with exposure to Marketing, Sales, R&D and Production Supply Chains. In the past 10 years his focus as centered around leadership roles where setting strategy, empowering teams and driving execution has been fundamental to his success. Embedded within these roles has been a focus on M&A and integration strategy, optimization of existing business approaches and the fundamental role of people development. All applied across various levels of business maturities, be it start up, turn around, accelerate or expansion.
Previously Daniel held roles of Regional Head of Asia where he had over 700 direct reports and the objective to accelerate the business across Asia, led by a newly formed leadership team. More recently Daniel led the Global Marketing organization at Syngenta Vegetable Seeds, driving the portfolio strategy through an aligned R&D breeding investment approach to target $1 billion in revenue.
Daniel earned his Bsc in Biological Sciences with Honors in Plant Pathology at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia in 2003. He is based out of the company’s North American headquarters in Chicago, USA.
Jo Shearer has over 35 years experience in geology and exploration. Since 1986 he has contracted his services through Homegold Resources Ltd. Jo’s geological experience covers precious metals, copper, lead, zinc and numerous industrial minerals (silica, shale, mica, talc, sand & gravel, cement raw materials and limestone). He has designed and operated open cut quarries for cement raw materials and for limestone. Jo has directly supervised various projects with up to 24 man crews in remote areas of Yukon and North BC for major drilling, trenching, bulk sampling and road building projects. He is experienced in mine reclamation and working with local indigenous First nations.
He is a fellow of the Geological Association of Canada, Geological Society of London, Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Society of Economic Geologists.
Mr. Shearer holds a M.Sc. degree from University of London, Imperial College and a B.Sc. Honours from the University of British Columbia.
Derek started in elevator operations in 1990 where he became assistant elevator manager. He joined ConAgra in 1994 as a Terminal Manager and in this role he took a new-build elevator to the third largest Inland Terminal elevator in Canada. He then received a new role with ConAgra as the Operations Manager for Canada and in this Senior Management position he supervised 90 staff with gross sales of 800 million.
In 2001 he moved to Cargill as the Director of Operations, overseeing sales and operations for a large business unit within Cargill.
Derek Co-Founded Agri-Trend Marketing in 2007, building the company to a team of 27. He then sold to Trimble in 2015. Derek continued on as the President of Grain Marketing at Trimble until 2017.
Derek took on a new role as Vice President of both Merchandising and Operations with Providence Grain, before joining Fertoz in 2019.

Sean has two decades of progressive and varied leadership experience in the agricultural industry, with an emphasis on market development. He brings expert knowledge of agricultural merchandising, domestic and international transportation logistics, agronomy, marketing and technology related to conventional and organic grains, as well as oilseeds and pulses.
Sean is visionary in developing and implementing strategic plans for start-up and established organizations to maximize market share and profit growth. He has introduced domestic and international go-to-market strategies for multiple companies. With an excellent knowledge of financial models, performance metrics, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financing, Sean has worked closely with legal, accounting, and bank professionals in business planning and feasibility studies.
With expertise in business analysis and project management, Sean has maximized efficiencies, sales results, customer relations, marketing, and operational effectiveness for client and employer operations. Sean has contributed to the development and distribution of varying technologies and software targeted to agricultural and agribusiness industries. With the ability to inspire, lead, and mentor multidisciplinary leaders and professionals, he creates engaged and productive teams that continually achieve ambitious targets. Sean has a bachelor's degree in Administrative Studies from the University of Winnipeg and has completed numerous ongoing leadership and professional sales programs.
Reanne Pernerowski brings 15+ years of experience in environment and agriculture. She has a Masters of Soil Science and Agriculture and a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science with honours. She has previously worked in Environmental Monitoring, Canola Production and Pathology, Fertilizer Research and Development, Grain Trading and Marketing, Organic Compliance Auditing, Quality Control and Logistics.
Reanne directs operations for Fertoz, and is also responsible for the development of the carbon program, marketing, quality control/registrations and technical support.
